The distinctive table tops and bar counter at our new location were created by our friends at Hammer & Hand, the green remodeler and builder located just down the street.

Their master carpenters sourced the wood for these creations from an abandoned, decades-old barn in rural Oregon, re-planed the wood, and fashioned it into the beautiful furniture you see at our restaurant.

This “upcycled” furniture is especially cool because it preserves and celebrates both the embodied energy contained within the wood as well as the embodied narrative of Oregon timber, farming, craftsmanship, and now, culinary arts.  Perfect for Portobello.
